ES Group of Companies comprises 4 transport companies plying city routes within Metro Manila, namely: ES Transport, Inc., EarthStar Express, Inc., Kellen Transport, Inc., and Jell Transport, Inc.
The four companies comprising the ES Group of Companies are currently operating on the newly established EDSA Carousel route since 2020. When the pandemic struck in early 2020, daily commuters would face difficulties getting to their destinations due to the lack of public transportation service in Metro Manila and nearby provinces. In order to assist commuters, who were considered essential workers, during the Covid-19 pandemic, ES Group participated in the MRT augmentation program and Libreng Sakay programs of the DOTr and LTFRB for the betterment of public commuters.
The EDSA Carousel is proposed to be developed into a bus rapid transit (BRT) system that connects to the different city routes in Metro Manila. It primarily operates along EDSA, traveling on a designated right-of-way known as the EDSA Busway, and is separated from regular traffic for the majority of its length by concrete barriers and steel bollards on the innermost lane of EDSA.
Due to the limited capacity restrictions imposed by the government during the general community quarantine in Metro Manila to prevent the further spread of the COVID-19 virus, interim operations of the EDSA Carousel started on 01 June 2020, replacing the former bus routes along EDSA. Full operations then started on 01 July 2020.
ES Group has 185 units operating in the EDSA Carousel. ES Group is fully committed to providing the commuters a safe, adequate, convenient and comfortable public transport service on EDSA Busway.
The executive, administrative, and accounting offices of ES Group are located at No. 14 Mirasol St. Barangay San Roque, Murphy Cubao, Quezon City.
JELL Transport, Inc.
Early in 1993, the founder and Chairman of ES Group, Ms. Elena San Pedro Ong, formed JELL Transport, which was her first business venture then. A humble young woman who was only in her twenties initially ran Jell as a sole proprietorship. In August 1993, Ms. Elena San Pedro Ong and her husband had the business established and registered with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC). The business launched at a time when Metro Manila desperately needed more brand-new buses to address the transportation shortage that was raising the stability of the city.
ES Transport, Inc.
Ms. Elena San Pedro founded the transport business known as ES Transport Inc. on February 2, 1998. It is entirely owned by Filipinos, and its investors, officers, and staff are dedicated to giving commuters a sufficient, secure, and comfortable level of service.
ES Transport expanded its operations from its initial city route between Alabang and Fairview to include operations in the province from Cubao to Cabanatuan, and Cubao to Tabuk.
KELLEN Transport, Inc.
A true-blooded Bulakenya, Ms. Elena SAN PEDRO, wanted her townmates to enjoy the comfort and safety of riding brand-new and luxurious buses as they went about their daily commute from San Jose Del Monte City and neighboring communities to various locations in Metro Manila. The residents of San Jose Del Monte City and the surrounding Bulacan municipalities commute often from their suburban homes to their places of employment, education, and recreation around Metro Manila. When KELLEN TRANSPORT INC. was founded on May 8, 2007, the comfort and safety of the daily commuters from San Jose del Monte, Bulacan was of paramount consideration.
Earthstar Express Inc
Earthstar Express Inc. was established on October 16, 2009. This business was founded to offer transportation services that were suitable, sufficient, effective, and comfortable. It is a subsidiary of KELLEN TRANSPORT INC., which has long been running successful city transportation operations. Earthstar Express Inc.’s initial route ran from BACLARAN to SM FAIRVIEW via Quezon Avenue, prior to its augmentation to the EDSA Carousel.
